Specialist Teacher Assessor/Trainer

Louise Selby

Louise has 25 years of experience as a teacher, SENCO and Specialist Advisor. She is the author of the excellent Morph Mastery programme.

Her aim is to equip, enable and empower schools and parents to support students in meeting their full potential. She is passionate about inclusion and equality and Louise strongly believes that every child can learn, given the right environment and support. Over her 25 years working in local authority education, she has seen how the right intervention, understanding and adjustments can be made to make all the difference for students with specific learning difficulties and dyslexia, and her work practice is driven by a desire to enable this to happen at grass roots level in schools.

She believes that a strong partnership between specialists, parents and schools is absolutely vital and Louise always seek to partner with the good work that is already being done in schools and local authorities, and to support parents in doing the same.

Spot on Louise, lots of practical wording for recommendations. Love that you are thinking about the classroom teacher with 22 kids in the class, of whom 25% will have some kind of AEN, and no TA. I teach AND assess and sometimes I write recommendations that I would struggle to put into action in this scenario so yours was such a helpful presentation.
