If you are considering the APC 1-2-3 programme, definitely do it! The course is accessible and reassuring. You feel safe to ask niggling questions and Sally-Ann answers them in an unthreatening and non judgemental way.
This course has exceeded my expectations and is the very best training I have completed in all my years as an assessor. I would recommend it to everyone. One of the things I find difficult is the feeling of isolation as an independent assessor and this course enabled me to feel fully connected and 'plugged in' to other assessors.
This training provides 360 degree support, no question is too silly.

Sally-Ann offered clear guidance through every aspect of the APC renewal process. What appeared daunting was broken down into manageable steps with a clear roadmap offered through what can be a complex SASC route to success.

I can confidently say that Sally-Ann's structured and systematic approach to taking us through the APC renewal is truly commendable. She has an exceptional talent for breaking down complex information into easily digestible segments, making it straightforward for everyone involved.
One of the things I find difficult is the feeling of isolation as an independent assessor and this course enabled me to feel fully connected and 'plugged in' to other assessors. The course has reignited my love of assessing and has changed my perspective from a sinking feeling of 'am I doing this correctly' to one of regaining my confidence. I also have a group of people who, if I'm unsure about something, provide immediate feedback and a range of perspectives - that is invaluable to me.
I think my favourite element was the group coaching calls. I found them so useful and informative. I gained something valuable from each call that directly improved my practice and report writing. Again, putting faces to names, hearing that others are on the same path that you are, celebrating the successes along the way all helped to develop a sense of purpose. This, in turn, made me focus on what I needed to do, set myself deadlines and work on aspects of my report writing.
I now feel confident that I am up to speed with best practice and I now have a group of people I can keep in touch with, bounce ideas off, ask questions and gain a range of opinions from.
each aspect has a valuable part to play. Initially, I was a bit reluctant to use Voxer but interestingly it was after I had engaged with Sally-Ann through Voxer that I really started to make myself accountable and set deadlines. There is something about speaking directly and one-to-one with a mentor that really focuses the mind!
If you do one renewal course do this one. It covers everything AND provides the individual and group support to enable you to succeed.

Loved the coaching calls and Voxer, really helpful to cover seemingly tiny but big queries when you are getting ready for renewal. Sally is non-judgemental - trying to help you and that means you get more out of it as you can ask anything and really develop your skills as an assessor. My only query was picking out what is most current re. recordings, Sally does put a caveat on this, but I think it is me over thinking.
