The most useful information is that as an assessor for EAA or SpLD, you do not need to buy the full kit! In hindsight, I wish I had done the course prior to purchasing the testing kit. So love the delivery and the breakdown of slides. This makes it so much easier to revisit this vast amount of precious knowledge in this lengthy but so user friendly course that has so much advice to give us assessors also for other parts of the diagnostic assessment we do and write up. Love the explanations and the repeated explanations with different examples with always a practical explanation. The clever quizzes also boosted my confidence that I was retaining the information. Being dyslexic, I had to work hard to capture and retain and use information, but this is such a dyslexic friendly course. Thank you for a brilliant course.

Hello there! I'm Sally-Ann, a former Patoss APC reviewer with over 25 years of experience as an SpLD Specialist. Throughout my career, I've contributed to postgraduate courses at London South Bank and Edge Hill University, where I served as Senior Lecturer on the AMBDA programme. As an assessor and long term APC holder myself, I can fully empathise with the challenges you may encounter in your professional journey. FAQ

  • Can I use these courses towards my CPD record for APC?

    100% yes. This course gives you 4 hours to claim as informal CPD which can be counted towards your overall CPD hours for APC renewal

  • How long will the course take to complete?

    It is expected to take around 4 hours to complete, depending on how much you engage with the additional activities and links. You can repeat any of the sessions as much as you wish within your access time and all the presentations can be paused and watched again.

  • For how long will I be able to access the course?

    The course is available to you for 28 days from your booking. You don't have to complete it all in one go and you have unlimited access until your expiry date ends.

  • Will I receive a certificate of completion?

    If you complete 100% of the course, you will be able to claim your certificate at the end.

  • Can I connect with other people who have completed this course?

    Yes- there are options to join in with discussions for each lesson, as well as to join the Praxis CPD Community which is a great way of networking with other SpLD Specilaists.
