Newly qualified dyslexia assessor? This could be for you!

Assessing with Confidence is an intensive 6 month training experience exclusively available to Praxis Pro members. Praxis CPD's Graduate Assessor Pathway takes you on a journey into becoming the best assessor you can be.... one step at a time.

Here is how this course will help you:

The Graduate Assessor Pathway is designed for dyslexia assessors in their first or second year of practice—those early, exciting (and sometimes nerve-wracking) stages when every report feels like a test of your skills. Assessing with Confidence is Step Three of the pathway.

Want to build confidence in your diagnostic decision making?

Let's practice mapping to the Delphi definition and comparing notes with other assessors

Want to explore the best way to approach report writing and find your assessor voice?

Let's think about the practicalities of writing reports, and create exemplars and phrase banks for your future reports

Are you interested in broadening your horizons with new strategies, tools and expert guidance?

A mix of recorded content and live coaching in groups as well as one to one is included

Are you committed to best practice from the very start so you quickly grow into a trusted professional?

We will show you common pitfalls, demonstrate absolute 'must do's and answer your questions so you know you are working from a firm foundation

Assessing with Confidence gives you the reassurance you’re not alone, the structure to keep moving forward, and the community to remind you that yes—you can do this.

Hello there! I'm Sally-Ann, Founder of Praxis CPD. I am a former Patoss APC reviewer with almost 30 years of experience as an SpLD Specialist. Throughout my career, I've always delivered training and CPD, including my work on postgraduate courses at London South Bank and Edge Hill University, where I served as Senior Lecturer on the AMBDA programme.

As an active assessor and long term APC holder myself, I can fully empathise with the challenges you may encounter in your professional journey. My goal is to support you in navigating your professional role and to enhance your skills as an assessor. I have a great network of fellow specialists and regularly consult with SASC to ensure that Praxis CPD content is relevant, up to date and accurate.

I am often commended on my ability to simplify potentially complex information, and I strive to bring that clarity to my training and coaching sessions. By working with me, you will embrace my motto of 'This is a do-able job.' I am here to guide you, fine tune you, and demonstrate that maintaining excellence in this field is within your reach.
