If you are an SpLD in Mathematics/Dyscalculia assessor, this is for you!
If you’re diving into maths-related SpLD assessments or brushing up on your established dyscalculia know-how, you’re in the right place. Each course is a SASC-authorised module which brings together specialists in the field to discuss, share expertise and explore best practice.
Let’s be honest — assessing in isolation isn’t just lonely, it’s risky. When you're flying solo, it's easy to second-guess yourself, miss new developments, or lose touch with what others are doing. That’s why this programme doesn’t just deliver content — it connects you to a network of fellow assessors who get it. You’ll get access to ongoing professional discussion, useful links, shared resources, and a genuine sense of community.
* Nail the art of conducting SpLD in Maths/Dyscalculia assessments and writing crystal-clear reports. * Explore the ins and outs of maths-specific SpLDs with SASC Guidance as your roadmap. *Get a grip on how mathematical skills develop and appropriate support to address emerging difficulties
Your CPD log will shine after undertaking this programme. You will be able to demonstrate genuine impact on your professional practice as you reflect on your learnings and 'light bulb moments', and we aim for you to have a renewed sense of confidence.
If any of these resonate with you, this programme provides ongoing support and guidance.
Unit 3 will run from April- July 2026. Exact dates TBC

Absolutely! This programme is perfect for both new and experienced maths specialist assessors. New assessors will benefit from our comprehensive resources, practical guidance, and supportive community to build confidence. Experienced assessors will value staying up-to-date with SASC changes, evolving research and connecting with peers. Please note, however, that this programme is not suitable for assessors in training. You need to be a Level 7/APC holder to attend.
After joining, you'll receive immediate access to resources and will find your invitation to join our online discussion group. You'll receive login details via email, along with instructions on how to access the programme content. The session recordings and trainings will be added and made available across the year. You'll also receive information about upcoming live sessions and how to participate.
The training sessions are designed to be interactive and some will include the use of break out rooms, which will not be recorded. You will still be able to benefit from the recorded content, resources and community connections, but for maximum benefit you will be able to attend live and make the most of being able to take an active part in your own development, and that of other assessors. It works best when we all work together in a collaborative way.
Within the first 14 days after you enrol, you are able to request a refund via email to [email protected]. After this time, refunds are not possible.
We will be adding lots of up to the minute core content as we go in the initial year of the programme. Throughout your enrolment period, we will be keeping you informed of new developments and any updates from SASC in relation to the assessment of SpLD in Mathematics/Dyscalculia.
Sign up for the full programme and you will be able to benefit from the core content of three separate SASC authorised courses, all focusing on Table 3 in the maths assessment guidance. You will ALSO have access to the wider resources, downloads and updates to best practice, as well as our specialist maths assessor community.
It is possible to attend one or more of the SASC authorised courses as a stand alone training, but these DO NOT bring access to the wider community and collaborative resources. Please email [email protected] if you need further information.
We don't offer credit facilities. Our aim with this programme is to have real impact on your professional practice, and we want you to be committed to being part of a growing community over a period of time. If you do not wish to sign up for the year, we can facilitate you attending the SASC authorised session/s as a stand alone.
Yes! You are invited to suggest topics for inclusion in our bitesize training sessions, as well as to submit questions for our Q+A sessions. These are available as part of the annual programme, as is the online community where you will find great support from other members.
